My name is James Sablan and in the industry, I go by the nicknames, "Swiss Army Knife" or "The Unicorn". I like to consider myself the person that is always up for any challenge and can get things done. I'll be 100% honest...this isn't rocket science. If you're able to adapt and be comfortable in uncomfortable situations, then you'll be amazed at how much you can accomplish and learn on the fly, while doing what you need to do to get the job done. If there's one thing I pride myself in, it's that bc my whole career has been exactly that. Get thrown into the fire and hope you can come out alive...and guess what? I'm still here and ready for whatever comes my way.
A little bit about me...
I've been in the industry for almost 20 years and I will say, it's never a dull moment as I'm sure a lot of you have those same sentiments. I live in California, dead center between San Francisco and Los Angeles. I have an amazing wife and three beautiful daughters - two in college and one in high school. Team girl dad ALL DAY! I have two crazy English Bulldogs (Kobe and Ila: Eye-La) who always love to cause a ruckus whenever they get the opportunity.

Outside of work, I like to be active. I love sports and am a huge Lakers, Raiders, SF Giants and Notre Dame fan. I'm a big fan of travel whenever possible. My one cryptonite is trash tv. I'm talking 90 Day Fiance, Love Island, Traitors...you name it...if it has a sense of drama and dysfunction, I'm probably going to watch it. I love to cook, more specifically, BBQ. I love it so much, that I probably bbq 3-4 times a week. Coming from a big family, I love to entertain and feed people bc that's what makes me happy. I enjoy a good beer, delicious cocktail, smooth spirit and fine wine.

I've been known to bring a lot of energy. That always helps whenever there's a party and people need a little help socializing so they aren't sitting in a corner on their phones. I'm a big Mental Health advocate and try and donate to charities/organizations whenever I get the opportunity to help those in need.

Some quick fun facts:
- I was a blogger and advice columnist (definitely NSFW content) for almost a decade that amassed over 9 million organic visits.
- I received a book deal that was on the Best Sellers list on Amazon and iTunes for 8 weeks straight.
- I had a TV pilot written based on my blog that was one of the hardest things to sell through in Hollywood. But hey, it was one of the most fun and craziest experiences of my life.
- I have over 140K followers on IG.
- I was a defensive spotter for the Oakland Raiders (WAY before the move to Vegas) for 8 seasons.
- I played alto saxophone for 6 years.
- I had a short stint doing a podcast during COVID and a few of my guests included the Director from House of the Dragon, the Principle Actor from the Broadway Play - Hamilton and one of the Bay Area's Rap Legends.
